Postpartum Doula ~ Sleep Specialist

Karrie McDonough was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 1994 with an emphasis in Child Development.  She has been caring for infants and children for over thirty years.  Her early years were spent as a nanny, looking after newborns through grade school.  After having her first child in 2001, she continued to care for newborns as a Postpartum Doula.  Having nurtured hundreds of infants and children under the different guidelines of many families, Karrie has mastered the art of infant care.  Using many techniques from years of experience, Karrie has designed a simplified approach to help new parents quickly understand their newborns needs.

Philosophy

Starting a routine from day one helps develop a balanced relationship between parent and baby. Karrie's goal is to help guide parents in a way so that they can learn to recognize their baby's needs and how best to respond to those needs. Establishing a consistent routine will develop a recognizable pattern to you in your baby's behavior. This will help create a balance between the needs of both parent and baby leading to a more symbiotic parent/child relationship and smoother transition into the world of parenthood.
